Step 1: Enable Developer Options
Newer Fire OS versions hide Developer Options until you unlock it. You only do this once.
- Open Settings
From the Fire TV home screen, select the Settings (gear) icon.
- Go to My Fire TV
Select My Fire TV, then About.
- Unlock developer mode
Highlight your device name (for example Fire TV Stick 4K) and press Select on the remote seven times until you see "You are now a developer".
Step 2: Install the Downloader app
- Search for Downloader
Go back to the home screen and open Find > Search. Type Downloader.
- Install it
Select the orange Downloader app by AFTVnews and choose Get or Download.
Step 3: Allow Downloader to install apps
- Open Developer Options
Go to Settings > My Fire TV > Developer Options.
- Enable Install unknown apps
Select Install unknown apps, find Downloader and switch it On.
Step 4: Enter Downloader code 5496614
- Launch Downloader
Open Downloader and select Allow if it asks for storage access. Dismiss the welcome notes.
- Type the code
Select the URL box on the Home tab, type 5496614 and select Go.
- Install XCodes IPTV
When the download finishes, select Install, then Done (or Open to launch straight away).
- Tidy up (optional)
Back in Downloader, choose Delete to remove the installation file and free up storage. The app stays installed.
